a washing machine with separate
warm and cold water hook-ups.
The warm water hook-up is directly connected to the solar warm-water
supply. Thus the solar facility ensures free warm water with the help of
the solar collectors, saving electricity used by the washing machine.
In
the annual average, the solar facility has a solar covering degree with
warm water of 90%.
Before
the remediation, drinking water used
97 m³ per year and after the remediation only 36 m ³ , which means a
saving of 67%. In addition washing powder consumption is reduced by 50%.
Water softener is no longer needed because
rain water is a completely soft water in itself. In the toilets the
urine-stone formation is substantially reduced. The life span of the
washing machines is considerably increased because there is no more
calcification. Electricity consumption is lowered. The solar facility and
utilization of rain water complement each other marvellously and offer
many advantages, including large monetary savings.
