Windows
are the opening to the world. Good windows must give light, sun, warmth,
and protection from the weather.
Wood aluminium windows were chosen, because with these the advantages are ideally combined by 2 materials. On the outside, the aluminum surface protects against weathering and on the inside wood offers heat insulation as well as cosiness. Because today the window frame is the weakest point of the heat insulating, the used window has a heat insulating layer in between the alu- and wood layer. A middle U-value of 1.06 W/msēK and a sound insulation measure of 43 dBS are reached with these windows.
