Building material earth

Already around 4.500 B.C. in Mesopotamia (the land between Tigris and Euphrates rivers) burned and glazed loam brick were used for important buildings, such as the zikkurat of Ur. The Egyptians also used the earth in their constructions materials (bricks, natural stone) for their temples and palaces, and pyramids. So even before our time, whole cultures utilized soil  valuable resource.
